Almost a month has passed since the new term opened, and I don't feel any more under-graduate-ish than I did, say, about 15 years ago.
Lectures are spent either challenging Maria Sharapova's tennis skills on my handphone, or in the comfort of my bed, lost in slumber. Tutorials are, accordingly, spent slumped at the back of the class, avoiding any eye contact with the professor so as to minimise chances of being called up to the board to work out a problem. And in an educational system in which you are left to fend for yourself because lecturers are only paid to read out lecture slides in a monotone for two hours a week, my lack of discipline is likely to be my greatest downfall.
So. I have decided, that I will be a model student henceforth. Lecture notes, tutorials, and reference books, here I come!
Or at least, that's the plan for now. If it doesn't work out, well, Sharapova, EAT MY DUST!
